The Allenheads Inn is situated on the C2C route and offers a warm welcome to all. We are very proud to boast that yet again we are in THE GOOD BEER GUIDE as we serve some of the finest real ales in the area and after a long day in the saddle a pint of fine ale is just what is required to start restoring the energy levels. Follow with an evening meal and in no time at all the pain of the day is drifting away.

We get lots of comments about how good our food prices are with scampi, chips and peas at £7.99 and steak pie with suet pastry top at £7.99 followed by apple crumble at £4.25 just as an example. If you are booked in at other b&bs or bunkhouses please phone or email to book an evening meal in advance as we do get very busy so the more notice we have the better service we can give you. We have 7 letting rooms sleeping 17 which offer a clean and comfortable nights rest and again are prices are keen from £39.00 per person which includes toast,cereal and a full English breakfast to get you on your way up the next hill. Please note we are not a 5* hotel but a village Inn with letting rooms that are geared up to get as many cyclist in as possible. Clean beds, fresh clean towels, clean rooms, friendly staff, good food at the right price and fantastic real ales.

Bikes are stored overnight in our garage on the side of the Inn so you have peace of mind that they are secure. We take all major credit cards and offer a cash back facility.

Built in 1770 the Inn has lots of old quirky bits and is still a good old fashioned village Inn offering good old fashioned service. Sorry no mod cons here and we love it that way!
